A SET OF THREE FINS IN THE FORM OF RETAINING WALLS SLICE THE MASSING INTO THREE EQUAL FORMS. EACH FORM HOUSES A DIFFERENT FUNCTION, INCLUDING THE ADDITIONAL GARAGE THAT IS SEPARATED. THE EXTRA FORM COMPLETES THE FOURTH MASS WHICH SIGNIFIES THE FOUR CORNERS OF A PRIMARY SHAPE THAT IS COMMONLY USED IN OUR EVERYDAY SHELTERS.

Re-think the black box and find a solution that is flexible. Items like hygiene and social distancing need to be included in the design in anticipation of any future outbreaks. Outdoor activities are more important now and even drive-in movie theaters have been revived. The POD 2.0 is a modular pod designed primarily for theater use but has the flexibility to be brought outdoors and create an alternate public realm.
ENLACES 2020 WINNER
The IV House is a Texana style modern home proposed to be located in the DFW area. It is formed and based on a four foot module, hence where it received the name IV House. Within that module, a 2,500 sf home is composed to fit the needs of new entrepreneur that is looking for simplicity and privacy. This shift in plan designates the separation of public and private spaces within the single family residence.
